I have been to Disney now . . . if I remember correctly 6 times.  I remember going I believe 2nd grade with my mom, my brother and my mom's best friend.  I don't remember too much except playing in some water that was "bouncing" from planter to planter over our heads after seeing a Michael Jackson 3D movie/show and then coming home with the chicken pox some how.  So I missed quite a few days of school that time I imagine.  

Then in 7th grade I went on a science field trip, we may have only gone to Epcot (I have a horrible memory).  Again the only thing I really remember from that trip is our teacher checking on us in our hotel room to be sure we were all accounted for and I guess he gave my roommates a hard time, making sure I was actually in the room because he couldn't see me (I was in the shower .. singing lol ... they were like "Can't you HEAR her??)

I was lucky enough to go again about 10 years ago.  I was pregnant with my daughter, so at Animal Kingdom I couldn't ride the safari ride because it could be too bumpy for expecting mothers, and again I went about 7 years ago pregnant with my son and again could not ride the safari ride lol.  My husband and I took both kids when they were about 3 and 6.  It was magical for them.  It was the perfect age for us as a family.  My husband and daughter, the thrill seekers, could ride the tamer rides; tea cups, Dumbo, Goofy's roller coaster, etc AND ride the more exciting rides like Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, etc.  I loved that trip because I can do without the more exciting rides, ha!  So my son and I could just piddle around on the tamer rides together all day long.  

Well this fall we were back at Disney, and my son had the nerve to grow tall enough for those more exciting rides.  So I put my big girl pants on and road all but one ride with them.  Tower of Terror is where I draw the line lol.  My husband gave it a try as we walked hand in hand as a family right into the Tower of Terror line.  I was shocked at what he was trying to get away with and immediately found my way out of that line.  Nice try buddy!

While at Disney were were able to go to The Magic Kingdom, where we got to eat at both Cinderella's castle as well at Belle's (The Beast's) castle.  We got up before the crack of dawn and were at Hollywood Studios before 6am to wait in a group with other crazy people who got up before the crack of dawn, on vacation I might add, to experience Hollywood Studios with shorter wait times.  It really was beneficial.  Below you can see what you may rarely see at Disney, no lines of people!  We were able to ride both of the new Avatar rides at Animal Kingdom; Avatar's Flight of Passage was pretty neat!  And we toured the many countries at Epcot during their wine festival.  The kids had a great time, we took advantage of as much Disney things are we could, when we got back home of course we all needed a vacation from our vacation.  Luckily the kids had 3 more days off school to recoup before they had to get back to their studies.  I am so thankful for the forced family time together.  The kids really enjoyed one another and we got to spend tons of time together, eating, riding, laughing, and standing in line lol.
