In January I had the opportunity to photography Rebecca, the ballerina in the snow.  It was a chilly but super fun session.  Once things started warming up and blooming Rebecca's older sister, Lauren, asked if we could do a session at Powell Gardens.  YES PLEASE!  We decided since it had been a couple years since this Kansas City family had updated their family pictures we'd start off with just a few quick family shots.  Then we focused on the beautiful Lauren.  She's a dancer at Fearless Dance Center in Raymore too.  

Late spring is a great time to photograph at Powell Gardens.  The trees and flowers were blooming, birds were chirping and the air was fresh.  It felt so good to be outside and around other people after a long year of quarantining, social distancing and a crazy school year for most.  Lauren wore an adorable golden top with a cute black mini skirt along with black boots.  After we photographed a few in that outfit she changed into something more casual.  I love when clients bring a change of clothes to mix things up and give variety.  She was a trooper as I asked her to do her Jeté over and over so I could capture it just right.  Lauren rocked her session, it was so much fun!!
