I can’t speak for anyone else, but lately my life has felt a little like that song from “Alabama” - “I’m in a hurry to get things done, oh I rush and rush until life's no fun”.
Trying to balance two kids under age 3, being a wife, taking care of our cat and dog, enjoying a social life, keeping house, politics, responsibilities, things can be overwhelming at times for all of us! Thanksgiving season is always a particularly strong reminder to slow down a little. A time to reflect on life and the many things we have to be grateful for. Sometimes I get lost in the tasks of the everyday routine - so when we the had to opportunity to have some time with just us as family, we took it!
In the rush that is daily life, it was so wonderful to be able to take some time outside in the sunshine with my two kids and my husband. We played in the fall leaves, got to read a few stories with a Kansas City theme, and take some time to play in the sunshine.
It is amazing to think back on how quickly my little ones are growing! From little newborns to toddlers, I am so glad that I can look back and see the light and joy these little smiles bring into our lives - and I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to capture these precious moments forever. A constant reminder of the joy in life.
