When I meet with KC brides I love to hear about their ideas for their wedding day. What great Kansas City wedding venue did they choose? What color schemed did they go with? Have they picked a date?
I also ask a lot of questions so I can be prepared and help the photography portion of the day go as smoothly as possible; names of your wedding party, how many siblings do you have? How many siblings does he have? Do your siblings have kids? Do you have kids? Are you parents coming to the wedding? How many sets of parents do you have? The list goes on and on.
When I met with Delaney to discuss her wedding day she was on top of things. To say organized is an understatement. She had several spreadsheets (My kind of girl! I LOVE spreadsheets!!!) outlining her day, her wedding party and more! Delaney is the kind of girl who knows what she wants and is a go getter. She's a planner, a sweetheart and a 2020 bride. So as much as she tried to plan her wedding day minute by minute, when 2020 hit with the pandemic she learned quickly to be flexible and let things be what will be. And she did a fantastic job! While she wasn't able to have her reception this year or nearly as many guests at her wedding ceremony as she and Nick would have liked, the day went on and was beautiful with many cheery spirits. Despite our worlds being turned upside down we still got some gorgeous images and no matter what she is now married to the love of her life on her perfect date 10.10.20 and at the perfect time of day 10:20am. Congratulations Nick and Delaney! I can't wait to see what the future holds for you, and I'm excited to celebrate with you at your reception next year!!
As you can see we checked in at The Nelson and utilized their gorgeous scenery and campus. So thankful to live in a great city where our local Museum supports it's citizens!
